Skagit Hospice provides services in Skagit, Island, San Juan and Snohomish counties. The four-county region includes remote rural areas as well as urban population concentrations for a total of over 300,000 residents.
Ages range from newborn, where we provide much-needed breaks for the parents, to the teen population that carries it own special issues of dealing with end-of-life illnesses, then on to our largest population that is comprised of the elderly who are leaving behind many family members. Which brings us to the other important segment of the population that we serve-the family and friends of the terminally ill. We address this population by providing them with emotional support and grief counseling.
